Teaser, part II

The old feud between the Hatfields and the McCoys may be a bloody moment in history as well as familiar vintage cartoon fodder to many Americans, but imagine how much more well appointed a feud between the Andersons and the Sutherlands would have been.
A vintage blazer in Anderson tartan, with matching wool tie...

and another set in Old Sutherland tartan. Both recently acquired and being held for Top Shelf Flea Market IV. I really want these jacket to go to someone who sees them up close, marvels at the beautifully dyed and woven cloth, and promises to invite me to the Bobby Burns party he plans to host as a result of his recent unneccesary purchase.

Beautiful!! What sizes are they?

And while this wouldn't match up with your blazers, Scotland absolutely does have their own feud: the McDonalds and the Campbells. I actually had a professor (here in the US) who refused to teach me because I was a Campbell.

My family, like many, is a kind of Heinz 57. We actually have a couple of clans we could claim allegiance to. I do not consider myself Scottish at all, but one time I found myself with time to kill at a Celtic Festival, and wandered around tartan shopping. Anderson is actually one of our clans. Sadly, I am not at all fond of that jacket.

The Scots feud is basically everyone vs. the Campbells. You head far enough north and there are still pubs where people will spit upon hearing the name Campbell. The Campbells were pro-Union and anti-Jacobite. Quite a few people blamed them for the troubles that followed the 45.

On another note I want one of those jackets.

Holy. Freaking. COW.

Those are fantastic jackets, even though I wouldn't be caught dead in them.

And somehow—somehow—pairing them with ties in the same tartan works.

Amazing.

Best of luck to you at your fourth (!) TSFM.

Now these--unlike that other rig I commented on--are stronger than wolf piss. BAM!

Stronger even than a bucket of garlic marinated in wolf piss.

Ouch, my eyes!

Gorgeous! I'd be all over the Anderson if I could attend. We'll be in town the following weekend on our honeymoon.

If my last name is Anderson do I get first priority?
