Silly preppy bags
I'm tired and its time for class....That's about all I can muster today.
p.s. internet access is pretty spotty of late at the homestead, so posting may become infrequent for a while. Don't worry, I haven't left.(I say this like there are hoards of readers out there...a dubious presumption at best.)
p.p.s. tonight would be a good night for some good old come-from-behind Red Sox victory. Fingers crossed, and please, no comments from Tampa Bay fans.
I hope you keep the posts coming, if only as an antidote to the superfluousness of you arch nemesis. I am your newest fan, and I'm trying to find a good thrift store in my area. Any tips?
ReplyDeleteAndrew,
ReplyDeleteLook for a thrift store in a neighborhood where nobody shares your interests. That way, you'll have less competition for the items you want. I used to shop at a Goodwill in a neighborhood where everybody was a wanna-be gangbanger. As a result, I had my pick of buton downs and tweed.
Once you find said place, DO NOT tell anyone where it is... even your mother. Publicity is a thrift stores number one enemy. That's why I never reveal my sources.
Peppino,
ReplyDeleteYou've even got readers out there who don't have any access at all to thrift stores, but continue to read your blog because it provides visual hints to dressing in a style which is far better than the ludicrous suggestions made by your arch nemesis.
I think you have more readers than you imagine. I've been checking you daily since you started! Keep 'em coming...

Why don't you ever show up on "chic cyclist"? We should get a look at how your outfits go with your bikes.
ReplyDeleteI also had trouble finding a good thrift store in my area. I decided to chance a rather shady Goodwill that I pass daily on the way home from work. I found a well-fitting Harris tweed on my first trip. Subsequent trips have not been as productive, but I can't expect to find something good every time. I have a feeling your finds in Boston are going to be much better than mine in the Midwest, but I keep hoping to stumble across a Barbour jacket. Anyway, keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteWhat a game!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for the kind words.
