Let me tell you, it's nice to have a knee length coat option that works in a casual setting.
This coat is going to get a lot of use this winter, guaranteed.

Delightful use of the coat!
ReplyDeleteSigh, if only I was wise enough to buy out of season. I found exactly what I wanted, a trim camel duffle coat (Ok, it was a children's size, it fit me perfectly, I am tiny!) at a vintage store last September. I thought I would wait a month or so to buy the coat, and when I went back to the store, the perfect coat was missing.
Very sad. I was a fool to think September was not the right time to buy a duffle coat.
Just wanted to say I love the blog and to keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, as always. I see the pale green sweater is back. Love the ascot!
ReplyDeleteP.S.: Thrifted a Robert Talbot bow tie today. Navy with wee green dots surrounded by white circles; $2.
That combo deserves a Nobel prize.
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome! Love the fact that its all thrift/vintage...
ReplyDeleteAnd what hat?
ReplyDeleteYea that looks great G. Especially the last shot which shows the different play of textures.
ReplyDeleteExcellent finds! After quite a while of hunting on-line, I found my dream gloverall duffle coat at one of my favorite thrift stores. Not blue, nor camel it is something of a heathered light brown, which works with pretty much all my pants. Its already been worn numerous times, and draws compliments frequently. I'd say it is my greatest find yet!
ReplyDeleteI love the ascot.
ReplyDeleteI recently purchased a pair of gently used Bass Weejuns pennyloafers on ebay for forty-seven dollars and change. The owner assured me they were American made but didn't know how old they were. Does anyone know whether I was taken to the proverbial cleaners? Also, any idea how old the probably are. Thank you ahead of time.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to make a really original comment here:
ReplyDeleteYeah, that looks really fantastic.
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one rocking the ascot this fall.
