First of the Season (Old Favorites)

I love a big fat pair of light grey flannel pants, and I revel in the first days cold enough to warrant them:
I am constantly compelled to pair these burly pants with bright yellow socks (see here, here, and here, here too...and those are just the instances comitted to the internet). Big fat wool to keep us warm, bright yellow to remind us that the sun doesn't stop shining in the cold, even if it does set much sooner.

Happy Autmn, everybody...finally!

24 November: Correction, "Autumn".

Autumn? At least, that's how we spell it in England. Or, is it just a typo?

That's how we spell it in America, too. Unlike the English, we sometimes make minor typographical errors. Its one of the reasons we fought for independence.

One never knows with Americans; what with the missing "u" in Aluminium.

I love chunky, grey flannels. I've been wearing them for about a month now since autumn began properly here.

Anonymous 2, you shot yourself in the foot there; it's the second 'i' which is missing from aluminium.

LOL. Quite right Roger. I was wondering if anyone would notice!

For the record, I completely copped this while dressing for Thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws. Thank you!
