Firsts of the Season

Ribbon belts and kelly green blazer
 Bare, pasty, white ankles
Mussels steamed in beer with bacon, crispy shoe string fries
Excellent local beer to wash it down with
Periwinkle blue slubby herringbone silk and linen jacket...
...that happens to be a suit. (traded, more here)
 the Boy playing soccer
and sideline seats with my favorite Girl.

It's been a rough week around here, but now that it's over, I'm happy to report that the good far outweighs the bad. Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts, Now lets forget it and get on with things.

p.s. new stuff today in the Shop. Hows that for getting on with it?

Lose that fatass chair. You can stay upright for 50 minutes on your own feet. That chair is just about everything that's wrong with this country.

That blue suit is terrific.

I get up first, look after two kids all day, run a business from my house, then go out to a night job at 4:30, returning home well after the rest of the family is asleep. Can you allow me to sit while I watch a soccer match, or is that indeed whats wrong with this country?

A little un-called-for, just sayin'.

Also, I stay upright for about 15 hours a day.

I love how easy it is for people to be complete as**oles while hiding behind "anonymous". If you feel you must be a rude dic**ead, then at least have the balls to use your real name. Didn't your mother ever teach you the whole if you don't have anything nice to say… well, anyway I think I'll be anonymous too, why not? Everyone else is. :-)

Don't change a thing. You make clothes/food/parenthood/living well on what you got, seem like the best things in the world (which they probably are, maybe not in that order).

This is the only blog out there that manages to combine peacock ish sartorialism and two adorable kids.

You sit when and where the hell you want.

You just gave me an idea about what to do with a green blazer that I have. I loved how you dressed the blazer up with a stripped shirt! I was trying to tie the blazer with The Masters golf tournament and the upcoming Wimbeldon Championships. Yellow shirt for the Masters, and a purple shirt for Wimbeldon.
Also, you earned your rest sir. Go ahead and have a seat!

Fat-ass chair? It's just a chair. I have one just like it and My backsie is anything but fat.
Anyway, standing up, largely static, for 50 minutes is not particularly good for anyone. It certainly doesn't add to the perceived greatness of a country.

Such a foolish comment 'anonymous'.

Wow, someone has anger issues for a fun, informative, and educational blog.

That said, my students said I had "pasty white ankles" too. Living on the coast meant nothing but baby oil was used and give me a break.

Haven't reached the beach in a few years because it takes 1 1/2 hours to go 25 miles home.

Hey - don't forget the rest of the country is with you guys! While some dress better than others, we're all grieving for what happened in your area. Senseless waste.

Who has so much free time in their life that they devote part of it to attacking a personal blog? Bizarre.
