Dear Google,
I signed up for Google Adsense recently. It was not a decision I made easily. However, I do work very hard writing this blog, and I see nothing wrong in making a few extra dollars for my efforts, so long as the advertising is relevant.
So why do you keep giving me nail polish ads?
Dear readers,
Sorry about that.

You know, I've had the strangest urge to paint my toenails a bright shade or red. Or maybe a subtle nude pink? Seriously, though, the new shop photo looks great.

Well, the NY Times now says that it's OK for men to wear polish, so why not.
Personally, I keep it to the toes and only during the summer. (But I also live in Seattle).

It seems likely that either:
1. Google thinks your content is just broadly fashion-related.
2. Google thinks your users are female.
3. A lot of your users may be women - The More You Know!
Google Ads are relevant to you (your computer). I'm not seeing nail polish ads.
G,
I assumed you were advocating the use of nail polish...I bought 4 bottles! LOL

Dan,
Still don't like it.
Something tells me your wife has been using your computer. I believe these should be generated through the cookies stored in your browser. Clear the browser and you should get different ads.
Google knows women like me lurk here.
Actually, I think you can tell AdSense which ads you like and which ones you don't. Explore the AdSense page.
I no longer use Ad Sense, but I do recall being able to pick and choose ads.
Easy, because the cheap text-based ads are so cheap they are only broadly targeted. Dial it in with the admin tool.
Yes you should make money off this! If that will keep you doing this blog. I truly enjoy this blog and hope you keep it up for the foreseeable future.
