The Striped Tee



Though it may seem something of a sacrilege to many around here, I have to admit that this Summer I have come around to the idea of the striped tee shirt. Double indemnity for liking it especially well when paired with high waisted pleated pants. More on this to come.

I used to know Billy Childish's (the singer on clip) brother. Also a v talented artist.

You should see the clothes style Childish has been rocking for the last 10 years, since his stripey T shirt days -- proto steam-punk/Edwardian polar explorer/First World War Tommy -- it's surprisingly excellent.

Totally at odds with his equally excellent 50s/60s music - but who cares. A special talent, and nice clobber too. (you can see this in the youtube clips linked to the one that's posted here).
