this cotton broadcloth point collar shirt is on sale for $9.99, down from its usual $34.50. Also available in some other pretty good patterns. Who can't use another hard-wearing blue oxford? This number, in non-non-iron, heavy weight broadcloth, is only $19.50, down from $29.50.
Plus, you can get free shipping by using the promo code 'value' and the pin # 3234 if you order by 31 December. I know it's short notice, but I only just found the catalog in the mail today...and no, I'm not a paid shill for Lands End. I just think they've got some bargains going right now that you, dear readers, ought to be aware of.
L.L.Bean has a navy blue wax cotton down jacket on sale for $34.95 in their print catalog, but I'll be damned if I can find it on the website. Much as I dig it, I'm going to pass, being currently in no real need of more down or waxed cotton, but some of you might be interested, so here's a scan of the print catalog page:
there...in the middle of the bottom row...see it?...$34.95 marked down from $119...oh, cripes, I may just buy it yet....

Great pick up my friend.
Wow, thanks for the heads up.
Still time to pack a few bargain buys into the year before saying bye to 09!
That jacket's sold out.
Bummmmer.
Last winter I picked up one of Bean's Town and Field coats (on the following page of that catalog). Waxed cotton fabric, insulated plus lined with wool. It was in January and they were still full price online, but were marked down in the Burlington, MA store to $120. Gives the warmth of a parka without looking like one, which is what I was after. Nice coat, very happy with it.
retailmenot.com is a good place to get promo/coupon codes. you can usually get free shipping if nothing else, especially ll bean. I just turned an on sale $46 ll bean monogramed terry cloth full length robe into $16 with three 10 coupons and free shipping.
I just got off the phone with LL Bean. The Navy jacket is completely sold out in every size. The other three colors are still available, but at the full retail price.
Nice stuff! I live not too far from a Lands' End Inlet, of which I am a big fan. ;-)
i was able to nab a few of these shirts and the fit is excellent- especially around the mid-section which for me being on the lean side is wonderful. what a bargain
