So...how the cripes does a grown man wear a pair of embroidered corduroy pants?
I suppose the answer lies in pretending there is nothing at all ridiculous in wearing such a thing...and so pairing them with an otherwise consercative combination of brown Harris tweed, blue oxford, and a repp stripe in burgundy, navy and gold.
Brown corduroy with mallards all over, a recent acquisition from L.L.Bean. Snappy, but lacking in the quality department. At $34, cuffs included and free shipping, I suppose I oughtn't complain. I do like the way they look, but I doubt they'll hold for long...(sigh).
In any case, when finished with old penny loafers, pale orange tube socks, and a close proximity to some good books, I guess they do the trick.
Quack, quack.

I LOVE these! I don't suppose you bought them online? I looked for them on Bean's site, but couldn't find them.
Photos aren't bad. The window throws off the exposure, so maybe don't put it in the background. Consider facing the window instead.

Very individual. It may just be possible to pull this off with the other parts of the ensemble.

Since they are not pants that you would wear a lot (like khakis), they'll probably last you a good while. They look good -

A damn shame, those ducks are excellent.
Generally, I think I've been getting better with the photos. These particular shots were yaken in a hurry in bad light with an ailing camera. Still, I dug the ensemble and felt compelled to preserve it.
Anyone who thinks "made in USA" is just some Trad clothing fetish should read "No Logo". Then we'll talk.
I'm really thrilled about this post Giuseppe - you see, I bought these Slack three days ago through the online store, and I was wondering what sort of consensus there is on grown men wearing embroidered cords. I personally think that they're awesome - and can't wait to show them off around the office - but my friends have their doubts.

I love the jacket, tie, pocket square combo.
I like the pants, but I don't love them. I considered buying those but there weren't enough ducks on them. I think that there should be at least twice as many ducks on those pants. I'd like to get a pair of Castaways, but they cost too much. I'm staying patient and holding off until I find the right pair at the right price. But, kudos to any guy or gal who wears critters. Well done.
Clothes are a form of expression and these pants expressly state you are a fun person. Life is good.
I would wear duck-emblazoned cords as long as three conditions were met:
1. They were bright yellow (or, in a pinch, kelly green).
2. I was planning to spend the day at Autzen Stadium, watching the Ducks play.
3. I had appropriate clothes to go along with those embroidered bad boys (like a green blazer, making yellow cords the preferred option).

I bought those ones in the reddish colour. I love them! I didnt know cuffs were an option tho hmmm
i wore the same ones today. blue oxford and a barbour. bean boots instead of the loafers because i didn't want them to get soaked on my way to class

Don't despair at the questionable quality. It's not like you'll be wearing your emblematic duck trousers three times a week. They really are statement pants, best worn at parties, IMO. I have a pair of BB cord trousers with emblematic dogs and a pair of Orvis khakis with seaplanes. At the rate I wear them, either pair will look brand-new in my coffin.
