Your humble author:
The hapless farmer from British cartoon Shaun the Sheep:
He might have me beat with those big Wellington boots, but I've got better hair. I'm not about to tell him that, so long as he's holding the pitchfork.
Shaun the Sheep is a cute show. If you've got small kids, it's worth digging up on Netflix.

Love Shaun the Sheep. In Wales, where everyone is either Evans or Jones, they call people Evans the Post (mailman), Jones the Meat (butcher), Evans the Motor (auto repair), so Shaun the Sheep is probably a farmer or shepherd.
As they also say in Wales, Ta (thanks!).
This is like a strange version of Nerd Boyfriend.

I envy you guys up North for getting to wear the super cool coats and tweeds. Nice Rig!
Down here in Texas it's already Spring!
Adios,
Britt
The new jacket looks good. Killer sweater too. Love Shaun.
It is a great show! Both me and the wife love it ...
For shaun the sheep
He’s Shaun the sheep
He even mucks about with those who cannot bleat
Keep it in mind
He’s one of a kind
Oh … life’s a treat with Shaun the Sheep
I used to catch the occasional episode (those 10 minute shorts) on BBC and was so happy to see it on Netflix.
Britt, it's 75 here in Dallas, and I am in shorts, polos, and sperrys. No complaints here! G can keep his coats and tweeds. I'm ready for summer!
I only just recently started reading your blog but it is pretty good. I have been updating my style and wardrobe and finding a person who is looking at the more affordable side of things is great. Plus I had never heard of the word penury, so I learned something as welll.
I first saw Shaun the Sheep on an international flight and my restlessness and exhaustion was soothed. Loved it ever since then and love that you are the farmer's real life doppelganger!
Try 'The Wrong Trousers' and 'A Close Shave' by the same etc, etc.,
You need a pair of wellies. Having recently moved to the UK, I can assure you, Americans either under appreciate or over stylize these beautifully utilitarian beast. Look for boots from Hunter or your old favorite, Barbour.
Shaun the Sheep spinoff Timmy Time is also pretty charming. My two year old loves it.
Hunter wellingtons are made in China now; you may be able to find a second hand pair on Ebay that was manufactured in Scotland. Same with Barbour. For quality wellingtons look at Aigle or Le Chameau Vierzonord.
Shaun the Sheep is to my younger relatives' generation what Postman Pat was to mine. Now there was a catchy theme tune
In return for 'Quotable Quotes,' I've bestowed upon you a Stylish Blogger Award. Pop some champagne on me
All best,

I love Shaun the Sheep, oh and my kids like it too. I also dress like the the Farmer more often than not. Any pointers on where to find some nice Arrans in big and tall sizes?
