Fall-ing

Knitted silk in a yellowy tan, classic blue and white university striped oxford, old brown leather, rigid denim, and olive green waxcloth...a combination that reminds us to welcome the Fall.

Though I find myself less and less of a "jeans guy" with each passing year, I'm still a sucker for a good pair of brown shoes with grey socks and rolled dark denim. The pebble grains are a cinch.

p.s. more on Dungarees and being a grown-up later.

p.p.s. New stuff is available in the Shop.

What kind of Barbour jacket is that with the brass buttons?

Classic Beaufort, brass snaps on the storm guard.

Texas? 95-105. Nope, not Autumn.

I'm not much of a jeans guy, but I have one deep indigo pair (although with an unfortunately knee hole finally), and a very dark navy pair. I only typically wear them with my top half completely maxed out, so that they have a nice dichotomy.

I'm kind of a Barbour geek and I thought the "Classic Beaufort" had black buttons. Did you do something to the buttons to take off the black paint?

No alterarions on my part, Bernie. Although this particular iteration of the "Classic Beaufort" also has a fishing scene in the lining rather than the standard plaid.

I eagerly await your discussion on jeans and dressing like a grown up. Keep up the great work.
