78 Degrees and Rising

And out come the kelly green "go to hell" pants:

$14 at the Polo outlet in Maine a couple of years ago. Paired with their natural counterparts, navy blue and white, canvas of course. The cut of these pants is basically that of a nice, fairly trim pair if plain front cotton chinos. It just goes to show the power of color. Throw on a slouchy casual outfit (chinos, un-ironed oxford, sneakers), but use color to elevate it to something a little more dressy, without sacrificing any comfort. Got to love them warm sunny days.

We're looking at 94 degrees tomorrow. I may have to resort to (gasp!) shorts. They'll be perfect for an afternoon of waiting in line at ye olde unemployment office.

I keep meaning to go all out and buy some summer trousers in yellow or green...

I currently make do with the camel-coloured chinos I picked up from Polo or some softly-striped cordlane shorts I got from Uniqlo, but really should make the effort.

I HATE shorts too.
I push pant-wearing to the limit each summer, and then finally succumb to wearing dresses.

You, and everyone else, will enjoy your time at the unemployment office even more if you bring your children with you. Just make sure that they're hungry, thirsty, and tired, and whatever you do, don't bring them any food, drinks, or toys.

But seriously, good luck--and, I love the shoes! Nice match with the belt.

What timing! I purchased a pair of the same green pants at the Polo outlet, Leesburg, VA., for $19.99

After reading this post in my wife's presence, she said: "You dress just like him." So this morning I got up and threw on my green trousers and a white oxford, and a blue/white belt. Pennies, though, since I'm working for the morning.

A TOTALLY fantastic blog. I look forward to updates and those pants are just amazing - especially paired with the blue sneakers.

I love all the GTH stuff. How about a shot of the whole outfit?
